Pain-Free Laser Gum Surgery

Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, or LANAP (as it is more commonly known), is revolutionizing today’s treatment of periodontal disease. In addition to the clinical benefits, LANAP therapy provides significantly less pain, recession, bleeding and root sensitivity and minimal swelling and downtime after treatment. We can achieve all these benefits in only one visit since the laser therapy also eliminated the often painful deep scaling visit. This makes it ideal for patients who are fearful of conventional periodontal deep scaling and cutting and stitching surgery.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved.

Dental implants are changing the way people live. With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. For more information about dental implants or to schedule a consultation appointment, call us at 954-427-5700.

Cosmetic Periodontal Surgery

These procedures are a predictable way to cover unsightly, sensitive, or exposed root surfaces and to prevent future gum recession. If you are unhappy with the appearance of short unsightly teeth this can be greatly improved by a combination of periodontal procedures by Dr. DeTure & Dr. Schetritt and cosmetic dentistry by your dentist. No amount of technology is better than a caring and concerned Doctor and Staff!

Our Mission

Our mission is to help you achieve your dental goals.  Using the abilities God has given us, combined with the most up to date periodontal technology, we assist you to obtain long-term optimal oral health in a comfortable and caring environment.

What Makes Our Practice Unique

There are many different dental practices that offer similar treatment but there are several distinctions that make our office one of a kind.  Dr. DeTure and Dr. Schetritt are some of the most experienced periodontists in using lasers to treat periodontal disease and have been using them in the treatment of periodontal disease since 1996.

Dr. DeTure is involved in a multicenter study comparing laser treatment with conventional surgery. There are only three universities and two other clinicians involved.

Our practice has over 10 years experience successfully managing recurrent periodontal disease by treating the bacterial cause rather than just the effects of the bacteria. We use cutting edge DNA anaylisis and cultures to determine the bacteria causing the infection and to determine which antibiotics to help treat the infection then use phase contrast microscope analyasis to monitor your bacterial control at you're maintenace visits.

We will do our best to ensure your comfort in our office. We do our best to be gentle, and offer in office sedation options suchs as Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas), oral or IV sedation to allow you to recieve the treatment you need in as relaxed an atmosphere as we can provide.

Dr. DeTure was trained in residency by Dr. Preston D. Miller (Dr. Miller is a pioneer and world leader on soft tissue grafting) on gingival and connective tissue grafting and when possible we use micro-grafts to rebuild weak gum tissue which is much more comfortable to recover from than  traditional grafting procedures.
